If you are working with your local drug and alcohol service, you can contact them and ask for a hepatitis C test.
Testing can take place at GP practices and sexual health services, you can find a list of these on the nhs.uk website (England), the NHS Direct Wales website (Wales), the NHS Inform website (Scotland) and HSCNI Online website (Northern Ireland).

Testing by post
The NHS hepatitis C online testing service has been designed to provide people aged 18+ with a discreet and convenient way to test, without the need to visit an in-person clinic. Through the hepatitis C online testing platform, users can order a free hepatitis C testing kit to their home (any address in England). The kit contains full instructions of the steps you need to take. You can choose how you want to receive the results, which will be within a few days of sending them off for analysis.
